$STX —I've been watching this daily candle all afternoon.
0.3328, up 18.392% in 24 hours; high 0.3375, low 0.2778,
with a 21.49% range. Trading volume of 41.119 million USDT, with 456,632 trades.
Four consecutive 4-hour candles closed green: 0.3001, 0.3010, 0.3130, 0.3189—each one closing higher than the last.
When I first saw the funding rate, I thought there was a glitch. I checked twice before I believed it.
$BTC was up just 0.996% over the same period, and $ETH was up 1.053%. This isn't a broad market rally; it's being driven by its own incremental buying.
Strange stuff.
The funding rate for the UTC 16:00 period was -0.173675%. The price is moving up,
but shorts are paying longs. At this level, the shorts are stubbornly holding their ground.
The UTC 12:00 4-hour candle saw 79.98 million tokens traded, compared with 14.19 million in the previous candle—
a 5.6x increase in volume. It didn't get knocked back to where it started after that surge, as if someone below was catching the sell-off.
Open interest is 21.319 million tokens, worth 7.0951 million USDT. The futures market here is thin.
Among the assets monitored in the same batch, UAI was up 16.009%, HANA was up 15.909%,
and MORPHO was up 15.701%. This one is leading the pack.
The current price is still 1.39% below the daily high. For now, I'll keep it on my watchlist and see whether support holds on a pullback to around 0.31.
I didn't chase it.
What do you think? Have you ever traded a rally with negative funding? Let's talk in the comments.
