Everyone, I’m about to open a large short position on $ZEC .

Take profit: 1,272.60
Stop loss: 1,296.99 👇

You might be wondering the obvious question: why am I shorting at this level?

The latest 15-minute close was 1,284.90. The 20-day range is 1,048.09 to 1,397.58. At first glance, I thought I must have misread this 67.8th percentile, but I checked twice before believing it.

It’s only moved +3.00% in the past 7 days. There’s barely any room left above—like climbing to the top of a ladder and still having to stretch higher. Is it worth it?

Plenty of people are chasing it at this level.

This trade is a short at the tail end of a rotation, not a reversal. Positions are crowded near the upper end, and more people are looking to take profits than chase the price higher.

Get too close to the pot, and you’ll burn your hand.

Take profit at 1,272.60, -0.96% from the current price, based on the 12-hour opposite extreme.
Stop loss at 1,296.99, +0.94% from the current price, with a 0.5% buffer beyond the 6-hour extreme.

Both moves are within the average daily volatility of 8.71%. That’s the positioning rule I set for myself.

The risk-reward ratio is about 1.02.

Don’t get greedy.

$BTC has barely moved over the past couple of days, while $AKE has been jumping around with the same group. The flow of funds seeking opportunities in small-cap coins hasn’t changed.

What price do you think would make this worth buying? Let’s discuss in the comments.
