Iran’s navy said a tanker violating its rules entered a restricted area in the eastern Strait of Hormuz on the 31st, ignored warnings, struck a mine, and caught fire that afternoon. According to Sina Finance, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said U.S. President Donald Trump made false statements and that Iran’s policy for controlling the Strait of Hormuz would not change. It said all vessels, particularly oil tankers and merchant ships, must follow Iran’s maritime warnings and restricted-area rules, stay out of dangerous zones, and keep their tracking systems on.
