Weekends are when I’m most likely to meddle with my positions.
It’s not that the market is moving fast; it’s that I have too much free time. The market is quiet, but my mind gets noisy.
When I have free time, I feel like finding something to do with my account—add a little, move a little, switch a little. Afterward, I realize there wasn’t any new information; I just couldn’t sit still.
I eventually set myself a simple rule: no adjusting my positions on weekends, just take notes at most. If I have an idea, I’ll revisit it after the market opens on Monday.
Do you make a point of not checking the markets on weekends?
