$BTC range remains unbroken—what are position changes revealing?

Range boundaries take priority over directional guesses; position changes are only supporting clues.

We’ll return to the upper and lower boundaries at the end. The current interpretation holds only if confirmed by price.

These two price levels are not prediction targets, but confirmation levels. 76,325.98 is the lower level to watch, and 78,110.00 is the upper confirmation level.

The short- and medium-term readings don’t fully align: 15 minutes -0.01%, 1 hour +0.25%, 4 hours +0.34%. This record is as of October 31, 20:29 Beijing time: Binance’s $BTC was at 77,598.92 USDT, while OKX read 77,547.50 at the same time. Volume and derivatives readings: volume ratio 0.76, 1-hour OI -0.30%, funding rate +0.0100%.

The data suggests that price, volume, and positions have yet to move in one direction in unison, so it makes more sense to watch the range for now. Another interpretation, however, is that both bulls and bears are reducing risk exposure. Public OI only shows the change in total open interest and cannot confirm which side is taking the initiative. A close above 78,110.00 would lean bullish; a move below 76,325.98 would lean bearish. If neither boundary is broken, the trend assessment remains invalid.

This is an observation of publicly available market data only and does not constitute investment advice.
