Mars Finance reports that Changpeng Zhao posted on X in response to discussions about SPCX stock, saying he had never stated that he intended to sell his SPCX shares. He previously mentioned holding the stock because a post had compared Binance with FTX, which might have led people to believe that Binance lacked funds. What he actually meant was that Binance held assets other than crypto assets. Changpeng Zhao also said that the relevant assets held by Binance were just a drop in the ocean for the other party and could not possibly pose a threat. He added that SPCX would remain a high-quality stock worth holding for the long term for a considerable time to come. He also urged people not to portray the matter as a confrontation or deliberately create divisions. Earlier, Changpeng Zhao replied to a post in which Musk commented on Binance being hacked, saying: “I have great respect for you, but now is not the time to joke. Our SPCX shares (from our $500 million investment in your acquisition of Twitter) are now worth over $1 billion. I would appreciate it if you could show a little support.”
