Bitcoin loses $80,000! Is $77,000 just a shakeout? Don’t mistake a rebound for a reversal this time!

BTC has fallen below $80,000 and is fluctuating around $77,000. Some people are rushing to buy the dip, while others are already preparing to sell everything. The crypto market feels like a TV drama every day. The difference is that other people pay for streaming subscriptions, while we might pay with our principal to follow the market.
This drop can’t simply be attributed to leveraged positions being flushed out. The market is also being affected by factors such as declining risk appetite amid macroeconomic uncertainty and security incidents at trading platforms. More than $1.5 billion worth of crypto positions were liquidated, showing that leverage risk has indeed been released all at once—but the end of liquidations doesn’t mean the decline is over.
Technically, the $80,000 level has shifted from psychological support to a key resistance level to watch. If BTC can’t reclaim it soon, this rebound may be just a breather during the downtrend. Key levels to watch below are $76,000, $75,000, and $73,000.
I’d rather wait for BTC to firmly reclaim $80,000, then see whether it can challenge the $82,000–$84,000 range. Until that’s confirmed, I’d rather miss out on some gains than rush to catch a falling knife.
The real pros don’t jump in every time the market drops. They know when to make a move—and when to sit back and enjoy a cup of tea.
