OP rises over 23% against the market trend, lifting its market cap to $524 million
On October 31, according to HTX market data, OP rose over 23% against the market trend. It is currently quoted at $0.1211, with its market cap climbing to $524 million, its highest level in nearly a week.
On the news front, the Optimism Foundation submitted a governance proposal on October 29 to return a portion of sequencer and priority fees in ETH to partners that bring critical commercial activity to OP Mainnet. Rebates would be capped at the fees contributed, would not use OP tokens, and would therefore avoid adding selling pressure. The remaining revenue could still support the existing Superchain buyback program.
Uniswap-affiliated Unichain is migrating its mainnet to OP Enterprise (the testnet migration was completed on October 13, while the mainnet migration was originally scheduled for October 29). Optimism is taking over production operations, further strengthening the Superchain ecosystem and its revenue contribution.
