Which should you choose on the contracts page: “USDT-margined” or “coin-margined”?
USDT-margined contracts use stablecoins such as USDT and USDC as margin, and profits and losses are also settled in stablecoins. In Binance’s unified margin mode, assets such as BTC can also be converted into margin.
When going long on a coin-margined contract, remember: if the price falls, your position loses value, and the coin you’re using as margin also shrinks in value—so the losses stack up.
Take $BTC , for example: BTCUSDT calculates P&L in USDT, while the coin-margined BTCUSD calculates it in BTC. Current price: 77550.01.
