Binance’s $USD1 holdings campaign is still ongoing, and there are a few easily overlooked details in the rules. According to Binance’s announcement, the campaign runs from 00:00 UTC on October 30 (08:00 Beijing time on October 30) through November 27. The reward pool consists of 120 million $WLFI tokens, plus up to 2.5 million USD1, and the two rewards can be combined.
Key points:
• WLFI rewards are distributed every Friday, and the minimum holding requirement is just 0.01 USD1
• Each day’s reward is calculated based on the lowest balance in that day’s snapshot; if your balance drops to zero at any point that day, it counts as 0
• USD1 obtained by borrowing USDT/USDC is counted at only 30% of its value
• For USD1 rewards for new users and increased holdings, only the first 50,000 tokens per person are counted for each category
One other piece of context: according to Lookonchain, approximately 27 million USD1 related to the Binance incident has been frozen. The stablecoin’s role in recovering funds this time is greater than many people expected.
