A few quick thoughts before the US market opens
Let’s finish reading the US market numbers first, then decide whether crypto follows.
These macro figures are current prices, not a look back:
US 10-year Treasury yield 4.93% (5-day -1.14%)
S&P 7,556 (5-day -0.89%, Yahoo)
Dow 51,680 (5-day -1.02%, Yahoo)
So: VIX 21.30—safe-haven demand is now front and center. Crypto will likely follow drops faster than rallies, so cut positions before talking about buying the dip.
Crypto: BTC 76566 (-5.38%), funding rate 0.0100% (8h, Binance USDⓈ-M). ETH -4.58%, outperforming BTC at -5.38%; exchange rate 0.02912. This looks like risk appetite spilling over, not BTC acting alone.
Next, watch whether the 10-year yield can stabilize. If yields keep climbing, I’ll treat rallies in growth stocks and BTC as retracements.
My positioning: I’m not buying the first leg down. Until the decline is accompanied by a reduction in open interest, buying on the left side is still catching a falling knife.
Data: Binance spot 24h / Binance USDⓈ-M / Yahoo daily bars (5-day change) / altme_fng / mempool_fees / defillama_chains / coingecko_trending. Missing figures are left blank.
Are you in cash waiting for a pullback, or are you already in?

Key takeaway: Track large ETF net inflows over consecutive days; treat a one-day spike as noise.
Thought: If the funding rate turns positive and the long/short ratio is >1.15, note that positioning is crowded—don’t call it a reason to chase.

For context: people elsewhere are discussing “\"bitcoin OR stock market OR US stocks\" - Google News”. I’m only using it as background; the conclusions still rely on the numbers in the main post.
These are my personal views; figures are from the sources listed in the main post. Not an instruction to trade.
