#加密杠杆头寸24小时清算15亿美元 This round of liquidations flushed out a huge amount of excessive leverage. Future price rises should face less resistance—the rougher the seas, the more valuable the catch.
[Follow Lao Jiu, and wealth is yours] $1.5 billion liquidated in the crypto market in 24 hours! BTC, ETH, and SOL longs take a major hit
The crypto market has been through another violent shakeout! According to CoinGlass data, as of the Asian session on October 30, approximately $1.53 billion in leveraged positions were liquidated across the market over the past 24 hours. Long liquidations accounted for about $1.29 billion, or 83.8% of the total. In other words, this wave of liquidations mainly hit traders who had bet on prices rising.
📉 Which coins were hit hardest?
$BTC : Approximately $499 million liquidated, making it the worst-hit asset in this wave.
$ETH : Approximately $358 million liquidated, with long positions also under significant pressure.
$SOL : Approximately $82.6 million liquidated, reflecting the impact on risk appetite for altcoins as well.
XRP: Approximately $38.1 million liquidated.
DOGE: Approximately $18.6 million liquidated.
📌 Why were there suddenly so many liquidations?
This sell-off was linked to market panic sparked by a security incident at Binance. Reports said Binance estimated that the incident involved approximately $6.3 billion in assets and suspended some deposits and withdrawals for security checks. A wave of concentrated selling followed. BTC briefly fell to around $76,460, while ETH also dropped below $2,200. The price decline triggered forced liquidations of long positions, and the resulting sell orders drove prices down further, creating a classic cascade of liquidations.
⚠️ But one detail is worth noting:
As BTC rebounded from its low to around $78,500, shorts also began to face liquidations. This shows the market is not moving down in one direction only—highly leveraged positions are being squeezed from both sides.
Lao Jiu believes this wave of liquidations has flushed out a large amount of excessive leverage risk, but that does not mean the market has bottomed.
