Spot ETFs in the U.S. remain divided amid Binance shock: BTC continues to see inflows of around $30.47 million, while ETH sees another $62.28 million in outflows

According to data from Lookonchain and Phemex dated 10/30: U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded net inflows of around 395 BTC (approximately +$30.47 million) that day, and around +3,503 BTC (approximately +$270.5 million) over the past 7 days. Ethereum ETFs recorded net outflows of around 27,947 ETH (approximately -$62.28 million) that day, and around -109,700 ETH (approximately -$244.5 million) over the past 7 days.

【Viewpoint】The Binance hot-wallet incident involving around 6.3 billion, combined with a sell-off in U.S. tech stocks, put pressure on BTC prices. However, spot ETFs still recorded net inflows, suggesting that some institutions see volatility as an opportunity to add exposure. ETH has seen consecutive redemptions, with risk appetite more concentrated in core BTC exposure.

【Opportunity/Risk】Watch for capital repricing around expectations of withdrawals resuming over the weekend, as well as net on-chain stablecoin and CEX flows. If ETH continues to underperform, altcoin risk premiums may be slow to narrow. Also watch whether options hedging around $74k is increased.

After withdrawals resume, will this round of “BTC in, ETH out” continue or reverse?
