Small liquidity pools fear large sell orders
In the early hours of October 30, the hacker’s wallet transferred 714.9 million FUN to a new address
Three minutes later, it started selling
More than 150 transactions, selling 134.1 million tokens
It got back just 111.5 ETH, worth about $250,000
The pool price plunged from 0.0000037 WETH to 0.00000017 WETH
A drop of over 90%
Across the market, the 24-hour drop was 68%
The entire pool was worth only about $16,000
Half FUN, half WETH
A $250,000 sell order was more than the pool could handle
After the selling stopped, the pool price bounced back about 75%
But that wallet still has 580.8 million FUN
About 5.4% of the maximum supply
A pool that’s been hit once can be hit again
The liquidity of small-cap coins is easy to overlook
But when a large sell order comes in, the truth is laid bare
If you’re holding a coin with a pool this thin, would you panic?
Just my personal opinion; this is not investment advice
