In December 2021, BNB's quarterly burns switched to the Auto-Burn mechanism, and the first Auto-Burn took place in January 2022.
BEP-95's real-time burn went into effect with the Bruno hard fork at the end of 2021. It's a separate mechanism from the quarterly Auto-Burn.
