@Cardano_CF dropped some pretty big news yesterday: the Foundation officially joined Switzerland’s CMTA.
CIP-0113 had already been recognized by the association as equivalent to CMTAT, allowing issuers to use it to issue certified equity tokens. The Foundation joining means it’s now directly at the table helping advance Switzerland’s capital market token standards.
The boundaries are clear, too—it’s recognized for equity, not debt; and individual issuers still have to comply with Swiss law and certification requirements. On the market, $ADA didn’t exactly get excited along with the official tweet today.
What do you think is the more important next step: seeing a second company actually use this framework to issue certified shares, or the association expanding the scope of the standards first?
