BTC uses computing power to keep the ledger; Ethereum no longer mines. What’s the difference?
First, what it is: Under Ethereum’s proof-of-stake system, every 12 seconds is a slot, and at most one block can be produced per slot.
The underlying logic: Proof of work relies on actual computing power and electricity consumption to maintain the ledger. To tamper with historical records, you’d need to control most of the network’s computing power, which comes at an extremely high cost.
Finally, a market update: $BTC is trading at 77644, down 3.28% over 24 hours.
When you see claims of high returns, take them with a grain of salt.
