⚠️📉Buffett’s personal bet on Google just lost 8.2 billion dollars in a single day
$GOOGL L fell 13.7% today, to 279.6 dollars. It was the worst day in its history.
Berkshire owns about 106 million Class A and Class C shares. At the end of the second quarter, that stake was worth around 37.8 billion dollars. Now it’s worth about 29.6 billion.
And it may already be in the red. Berkshire never disclosed its purchase price, but most estimates put it between 300 and 320 dollars. At 310 dollars per share, that would mean an unrealized loss of about 3.2 billion dollars. At 300 dollars, it would be about 2.2 billion. #GOOGL #buffet
