Sometimes, when I see people writing retrospectives about how they got into the space, I feel a little self-conscious
It’s as if, after a few years, you’re supposed to have completed a whole upgrade: become more perceptive, steadier, better at controlling your emotions, and from then on see everything clearly
I’m not that “well-rounded”
A few years ago, when I first got into the space, I didn’t even know how to install a wallet. After all that trial and error, I’ve gotten more comfortable with the process and learned a lot more. And it’s true that AI and crypto have changed my life in many ways
But when I see an opportunity pass me by, I still feel frustrated
When my judgment is off, I’m not necessarily able to admit I was wrong right away
There are things I know perfectly well, but when it’s my turn, I still need reminding
So I’m not quite comfortable claiming that I’ve “developed nerves of steel.” More accurately, I’m quicker than before to notice when I’m getting carried away, and sometimes I can stop myself in time
I also don’t want to spin every pitfall I’ve stumbled into as a good thing. Some experiences have certainly helped, but there are mistakes I truly wish I’d never made, if I could do it all over again
