U.S. prosecutors allege that in August 2022, he exploited a vulnerability in the Nomad cross-chain bridge, personally withdrawing approximately $2.8 million in tokens. This exposed the vulnerability and prompted others to follow suit, withdrawing more than $186 million. He was arrested at Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport in May 2025, and his extradition was completed after Israel’s Supreme Court rejected his appeal.
