$ETH ETH options positioning is more interesting than the price. According to CoinDesk, 5 of the 6 ETH options with the highest trading volume on Deribit over the past 24 hours were puts, with strike prices ranging from $2,280 all the way down to $1,500. The only call was a December expiry at $3,200. Meanwhile, spot ETH fell about 3.8% and is hovering around $2,240. In other words, traders are buying protection in the short term, while some are still holding on to upside bets for the long term. ETH has been underperforming $BTC throughout this cycle, and a reversal may have to wait until macroeconomic and exchange-related risks have played out.
