There’s a new development in the major Binance security incident!

According to Binance’s latest official announcement on X, the platform confirmed that cryptocurrency deposits have not been affected and continue to operate normally. Withdrawals remain suspended and are expected to resume within 48 hours of the announcement.

The security team is investigating the connection between the compromised computer and the broader attack. The device may have been only the attackers’ initial entry point into the system, rather than the sole confirmed root cause.

Binance has pledged to publish a full incident report, including the root cause, once the investigation is complete, and to continue providing updates on service restoration through its official channels.

It is worth noting that 48 hours is the official estimated recovery time, not a confirmed reopening time. Withdrawals remain suspended, and users should refer to Binance’s official announcements and the actual service status in their accounts.
