📌 Morning review: first a new low, then a recovery

The 08:43 morning post focused on 78,000 breaking and whether the price would reclaim it or keep falling today. This morning’s price action did both:

The 07:00 1H candle closed at 77,966.9, below 78,000
The 08:00 candle closed at 77,229.6, and the 09:00 candle at 76,823.8, sliding all the way into the 10:00 candle
The 10:00 1H candle made a new low for the day at 76,472 and closed at 77,394.2
The 11:00 1H candle closed at 78,200.1, back above 78,000

So, of the two invalidation points in the morning post, price first triggered the downside scenario by probing a low, then triggered the reclaim scenario. It didn’t fall all the way down, nor did it bounce straight back—it made a new low before recovering. The reclaim is a fact, but it’s only just over 200 points above 78,000, still far from the 05:00 rebound high of 79,765.5. The recovery is only just beginning.

📌 If I were the market maker, how would I read this reclaim?

With the 11:00 close back above 78,000, I wouldn’t immediately take it as the end of the downtrend. There are two reasons:

First, the reclaim isn’t strong enough. At 78,200.1, price has only just moved back above the level. The 12:00 candle’s current low of 77,883.3 has also probed near and below it. The candle hasn’t closed yet, and the level is still being contested from both sides.

Second, the resistance above hasn’t changed. The 05:00 rebound stalled at 79,765.5, followed by a steady slide. That was where the bears first gained momentum this morning. Reclaiming 78,000 only brings price back to the edge of the breakdown zone, not into safe territory.

But I wouldn’t dismiss the reclaim as a pure bull trap either. OI has risen from 32,459.8 coins at 08:38 to 34,343.7 coins now. OI has risen along with the rebound, which suggests people are placing new bets—not just closing old positions. It’s too early to decide whether this is a bull trap or a recovery. The difference depends on whether the close can hold.

📌 This afternoon, wait for just two confirmations—don’t guess mid-move

Recovery continues: an hourly candle closes and holds above 78,000; the next level to watch is the 79,765.5 rebound high
Recovery invalidated: an hourly candle closes back below 78,000; the morning breakdown thesis is back in play, with the morning low of 76,472 as the next level to watch

Those are the two invalidation points, stated upfront: if the close holds above 78,000, my reclaim thesis remains in play; if it closes back below 78,000, set aside the recovery idea for now. In between, price is moving sideways around 78,291, with neither side confirmed. Let the 1H close do the talking.
