$BTC Two exchanges quoting the same price isn’t enough—the key is whether trading volume follows through

First, confirm whether trading volume is following through, then assess the price direction.

First, the market snapshot: At the synchronized snapshot as of 12:22 Beijing time on October 30, $BTC was quoted at 78,299.63 USDT on Binance, while OKX was at 78,293.10. Volume and open interest data show: 1-hour volume ratio of 1.17, 1-hour OI up 0.69%, and funding rate at +0.0016%.

Looking across time frames: 15 minutes, -0.03%; 1 hour, +1.03%; 4 hours, +0.31%. The current range has a lower reference level of 76,500.11 and an upper reference level of 81,971.00.

My take: Price and OI are rising in tandem, suggesting new positions are coming in, so this move isn’t just existing positions squeezing one another. Another explanation is that existing positions are exiting first, in which case the price move may not mean new capital has already picked a side. If the price moves back toward the middle of the range, the directional view above is invalidated. First, watch whether 81,971.00 can hold, then whether 76,500.11 gives way.
