300K USDC Season 10 Only Counts Two Pairs: The PROVE Leg Sees Just $11.85 Million in Daily Market-Wide Volume
Binance Spot Trading Competition Season 10 has a prize pool of 300,000 USDC token vouchers. It runs from 10-29 at 18:00 to 11-05 at 18:00 (Beijing time). EEA residents are excluded.
Only two trading pairs count: $SOL /USDC and $PROVE /USDT. Trading BTC or ETH won’t get you on the leaderboard. This is the most important detail of the whole competition—and the two pairs are worlds apart in liquidity. SOL is currently priced at $96.9, with a market cap of $57.1 billion and a rank of No. 7. Its 24-hour market-wide trading volume is $5.52 billion, so its order book is deep. PROVE (Succinct) is currently priced at $0.1749, with a market cap of just $34.1 million and a rank of No. 601. Its entire market-wide 24-hour trading volume is only $11.85 million—one 466th of SOL’s—and it’s down 8.5% today. Its order book is very thin.
Here’s how the money is divided. The main leaderboard has 270,000 USDC: 1st place gets 9,000; 2nd, 7,500; 3rd, 6,000; 4th, 4,500; and 5th, 3,000. Ranks 6–20 split 30,000, or 2,000 each; ranks 21–50 split 30,000, or 1,000 each; ranks 51–200 split 78,000, or 520 each; and ranks 201–1,000 split 42,000, or 52.5 each. After rank 1,000, the remaining 60,000 is distributed in proportion to trading volume, capped at 30 USDC per person. The remaining 30,000 is for sprint rewards, split into two rounds of 15,000 each. The top five in each round get 4,500/3,750/3,000/2,250/1,500. The same trades can count toward both the main leaderboard and the sprint leaderboard. The main leaderboard’s 270,000 plus the 30,000 in sprint rewards adds up to exactly 300,000—no hidden deductions.
Countdown: Sprint Round 1 closes on 10-31 at 18:00 (Beijing time); Round 2 runs from 10-31 at 18:01 to 11-02 at 18:00. The main leaderboard closes on 11-05 at 18:00. It’s now midday on 10-30, and the first round has already been running for 18 hours. Half the leaderboard spots are taken, so if you’re going to compete, aim for Round 2.
Requirements: Reach a combined trading volume of at least $500 across the two pairs to qualify. New users, regular users, and VIP 1–6 users can all participate. Verified accounts don’t need to take any extra steps. You must click [Join Now] on the event page; volume traded before clicking doesn’t count. Trades on zero-fee pairs are excluded, so check the fee schedule before signing up.
My take: The 201–1,000 bracket pays 52.5 USDC per person, and the bracket beyond rank 1,000 is capped at 30 USDC. Neither is enough to cover fees. The $500 threshold only makes you “eligible”—it doesn’t mean you’ll “make money.” The only tier worth considering is ranks 51–200, at 520 USDC, but that means placing high on the leaderboard. The organizers haven’t published a cutoff, so it’s basically a blind bet. Bottom line: It’s not worth opening a position just to farm volume. If you already hold SOL and can conveniently swap it to USDC, sign up and take the free reward. But if you’re trading PROVE just for this prize pool, its $11.85 million in daily volume can’t absorb much. Every $20,000 you buy amounts to 0.17% of the day’s market-wide volume. Slippage plus fees on both sides will probably eat up the entire 52.5 USDC reward. Rewards will be distributed before 11-19 and expire after 21 days, so don’t forget to redeem them in Rewards Hub.
Would you go all-in for the 520-dollar tier, or do you think the 30-dollar cap is just a consolation prize?
