[Breaking] Arkham verifies 70 Binance hacker addresses
Freezing is only the first half of the story. What really hangs over BTC is the stash of coins the hackers still haven’t moved.

According to Odaily, Arkham has designated the Binance attackers as an official entity and verified 70 associated addresses. Another analyst found that the hackers transferred 74.56 million ARB to an address labeled “Kelp DAO Hacker.” Whether it’s the same group remains to be confirmed officially.

Odaily estimates that the attackers still hold around $3.3 billion in assets, including 18,270 BTC (about $1.44 billion) that have not yet been laundered. BTC can’t be frozen by a smart contract the way USDT can, so what happens to these coins is crucial.

At 11:31, BTC was trading at 77,750 on Binance, moving sideways within the 1-hour range, with the rebound on declining volume and the drop on rising volume.

My take: Until there’s a clear picture of where these BTC are going, treat any rebound as just a rebound. The 79,236 (Fib 0.5) to 80,280 (MA99) area is a confluence of resistance; below, the first thing to watch is whether the previous low at 76,500 holds.

Binance has yet to provide a timeline for when deposits and withdrawals will resume. Do you think these 18,000 BTC will be dumped on the market?
