Entering at the same price, why is someone else’s liquidation price different?
Definition: Liquidation occurs when the margin balance falls to the maintenance margin—not when the margin is completely depleted.
How it works: The maintenance margin acts like a warning line. If the margin balance drops below it, the system takes over the position, and usually deducts an additional liquidation fee.

Fees are also part of the cost of holding a position, so the longer you hold a trade, the more carefully you need to factor them in.
