The DTCC, which holds more than $114 trillion in assets, officially launched its tokenized securities service this week. The first 20 institutions have signed agreements to connect, including JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, Citi, Fidelity, and Morgan Stanley. The system will initially run on the Canton and Besu networks, with more chains to be added later.

The significance of this development is not the rise or fall of any particular coin, but that the foundational clearing and settlement infrastructure of traditional finance is beginning to embrace on-chain representation. Securities can be converted into digital certificates, with ownership unchanged and the ability to reverse the conversion at any time, significantly improving the efficiency of collateralization and transfer. A large number of tokenized money market funds are already running in the $ETH ecosystem. The more mature this kind of infrastructure becomes, the more real-world assets will find their way on-chain. #代币化 #RWA #ETH
