Can you make it in crypto with just 500U?

Absolutely—but many people never make it that far. Not going all-in today is what gives you the chance to place trades tomorrow. People who go all-in get carried away when prices rise and panic when they fall. Those who split their positions always have another move to make. $UNITREE

When you only have 500U in capital, it’s easy to get impatient. Spot trading feels too slow—making 5% gets you just 25U. Swing trading feels like too much waiting. You see others making hundreds or thousands of U in a day, and the temptation keeps growing until you end up opening highly leveraged futures positions. The losses you cut are tuition fees; holding a losing position until you’re liquidated is an exit fee. “Just hold on a little longer and I’ll break even” has buried too many people. What you’re adding is wishful thinking, not a well-managed position.

That’s the problem: 500U should give you room to make plenty of mistakes, but you insist on trying to solve everything in one or two trades. The unclear trades you don’t take today won’t cost you anything. Forcing your way into a trade is what gives your money away.

Your positions get bigger and your leverage keeps climbing. You lose 50U on one trade and it hurts, so you try to make it back by going bigger on the next one. Before long, your 500U might not even last a month. The falling knife you don’t catch today is capital you won’t lose tomorrow. Stop trading after a string of mistakes—the thing you need to rein in is your urge to win it all back, not the market. $HYPE

If I only had 500U, I wouldn’t spend every day thinking about when I’d turn it into 50,000U. First, I’d focus on whether I could go a whole month without making impulsive trades, whether I knew where I’d exit if I was wrong before entering every trade, and whether I could avoid rushing to win it all back after a loss. The loss you cut according to plan today earns you the chance to keep trading tomorrow.

Growing 500 to 600 may look like you’ve only made 100U. But if that 100U came from following the rules one trade at a time, rather than making a reckless all-or-nothing bet, it means something entirely different. A single candlestick is noise; the daily chart structure is the real story.

The assets you move into your bank account are truly yours. What’s in your trading account is always just a number.

What you really need to practice with a small account is self-control. If you can’t control yourself with 500U, you won’t be able to with 50,000U either—you’ll just be paying much higher tuition fees.

The market is ranging 80% of the time. You should be away from the screen 80% of the time.
