The Stellar Development Foundation said ecosystem wallet Freighter has been renamed Varial and added a Discover app directory, allowing users to connect to ecosystem apps from the wallet. According to Foresight News, Varial also offers Stellar token swaps, price charts, and NFT management.

Varial plans to add swap routing and an Earn feature, with Blend as its first integration, allowing users to create and track DeFi positions in the wallet. It will also support deposits to Stellar accounts using USDC sent from EVM wallets through deposit addresses developed in partnership with Stellar-native team Lightsail.
