Optimism’s $OP ecosystem reached a key milestone today: Unichain officially migrated to the OP Enterprise platform on October 29, after completing a testnet rehearsal on October 13. This means Optimism is taking over the day-to-day sequencing and operations of the Uniswap network, while users can continue using their existing wallets and v2/v3/v4 apps without migrating. Fundamentally, this is a tangible step forward in Superchain expansion: Upgrades 20/21 are still paving the way for native ETH transfers between OP Mainnet and Unichain, removing the custody risks of third-party bridges; South Korea’s Meritz Securities has also signed a memorandum to explore issuing and settling tokenized financial assets on the OP Stack, accelerating institutional adoption. But at the token level, supply and demand remain at odds: governance buybacks have already acquired more than 9.4 million OP, yet around 343 million OP are still scheduled to unlock this year, making buying pressure small compared with new supply. Technically, OP has fallen about 20% over the past month, with around $0.11 marking the dividing line between bulls and bears. The architectural narrative is strong, but short-term selling pressure remains. What’s your take on the pace of Superchain monetization?
