$BTC fell below $80,000 this morning, retreating from around $81,700 to about $79,800. The trigger wasn’t in crypto: Samsung’s semiconductor profits surged 15-fold year over year, but came in slightly below market expectations. Its shares fell more than 5%, South Korea’s Kospi was down more than 2% at one point, and Nasdaq futures weakened as well. Adding to the pressure was the Fed’s “hawkish hold”; ING still expects another rate hike in December. CoinDesk data shows $356 million in contract liquidations over the past 24 hours, including $205 million in long positions. $BTC saw about $94 million in contract liquidations, and $ETH about $72 million. In short, the market is still being swept along by sentiment in tech stocks. My take: don’t chase the mood in the short term. First, see whether the price can reclaim $80,000. Tonight’s PCE data is another variable. #比特币 #FederalReserve
