Bitwise just predicted $BTC will reach $1.6 million by 2036. Do you believe it?

A major U.S. crypto asset manager just updated its long-term forecast: Bitcoin will reach $1.6 million by 2036.

But if BTC really rises to $1.6 million, what would that mean for the world at that point?

Bitwise’s model is based on the assumption that the store-of-value market will grow to $110 trillion over the next 10 years. The main reasons they give: persistent inflation concerns and the growing loss of value of fiat currencies.

Put more bluntly: BTC reaching $1.6 million wouldn’t be because the world had become more prosperous, but because confidence in traditional currencies was collapsing fast enough that people needed somewhere else to store their wealth.

One BTC at $1.6 million could mean gold is at $20,000–30,000 per tael. Cumulative inflation over 10 years may have eroded the purchasing power of fiat currencies to a degree most of us have never experienced. The traditional financial system is being questioned at a structural level.

Would you rather have BTC at $1.6 million, or live in a world where $BTC has to reach $1.6 million?
