🧠 Trading Discipline: A Costly Lesson in "Capital Management"
Hey everyone! Since it’s lunchtime and we’ve got a moment to take a break, let’s reflect a little on capital management.
In the crypto market, making money is hard, but holding on to it is even harder. Many people put all their capital into a single trade (go all-in), hoping to quickly double or triple their account. But in reality, just one wick or a liquidation sweep in the opposite direction can wipe out all your hard work.
To stay in the market for the long haul, here are three disciplined principles I remind myself of every day:
Never go all-in: Always split up your account. Use only part of your capital for short-term trades, and keep the rest as a reserve or deposit it in Simple Earn to earn interest.
Stick to your DCA plan: Choose coins with solid fundamentals (such as $BTC , $BNB ), divide your investment into smaller amounts, and buy regularly. Don’t panic-sell just because the price dips a little, and don’t FOMO-buy just because it ticks up a bit.
Think of the hard work behind your money: Whenever I’m tempted to enter a careless trade, I think about the sweat and effort that go into physical labor in real life. It reminds me to value every bit of capital and keep a cooler head.
Investing is a long journey, not a 100-meter sprint. If you’ve preserved your capital, you’ve already beaten 80% of the people in the market!
