Researcher Saifeldin Aziz said that a specially crafted animated sticker can execute malicious code in Telegram on iPhone. You don't need to tap the sticker or a link for this attack.
He said he bypassed Telegram's checks and exploited flaws in its animation processing. It is not yet clear which app versions are affected or whether this chain of vulnerabilities has been fully patched.
No confirmed crypto thefts through this attack have been reported.
