Today’s BTC / ETH market outlook: 80,000 and 2,300 are both holding, but first we need to correct the premise of “dovish momentum building”
Last night’s actual FOMC decision was a 10–2 vote to hold rates steady. Cook and Hammack voted to raise rates, making this a hawkish pause, not a dovish rate cut. BTC’s return to 80,000 was driven by genuine large-order buying around 79,700. The support was built by buyers putting money in—not guessed at based on sentiment.
BTC: 80,000 is the psychological level; 79,700 is the real line of defense. Short liquidations totaled about $108 million over 24 hours. Shorts are taking a beating, but the funding rate is only 0.0042%, so the rebound has fuel without being overcrowded. Watch 80,200–80,300 above; a breakout would put 81,000 in view. Only if 79,700 is breached again should we consider a continuation lower!
ETH: The defense of 2,300 is more complicated. Three reference points cluster between 2,300 and 2,315: the 200-day EMA at around 2,315, the on-chain realized price at around 2,310, and the cost basis of large wallets at around 2,328. However, U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs saw net outflows of about $1.32 billion in October, the buy/sell ratio fell to 0.973, and sellers still dominate futures. 2,299 and 2,286 are two whale liquidation levels; if triggered, 2,300 could turn from support into resistance.
The strategy remains unchanged, with the premise corrected: don’t chase shorts, because selling pressure has genuinely eased; wait for a pullback to buy, because the hawkish pressure has not lifted. Keep positions light, wait for confirmation, and don’t bet on a breakout.
The above is a summary of publicly available market data and does not constitute investment advice. #股票财报季 #微软财报能否兑现ai红利 #谷歌财报能否守住基本盘
