$BTC Risks linked to the hack at GMO Internet have spread to Japan's credit market, and customer data may have been exposed. According to ChainCatcher, GMO Internet refused to pay a ransom after the attack and said it plans to compensate customers for their losses. The company operates the cryptocurrency exchange Z.com EX, which is licensed by Thailand's Securities and Exchange Commission and Ministry of Finance. Z.com EX disclosed that it had been acquired in a deal involving all shares of a target company held by GMO Internet, its related subsidiaries and other shareholders.
