#Dogecoin $DOGE Running a Dogecoin ecosystem node on your own computer, the main bottleneck is almost always synchronization. Downloading the entire chain from scratch is very slow, so a common approach is to start with checkpoints: one for every 10,000 blocks, about 400 MB in total. Every block has to be checked against the list. The verification takes a little longer, but in return, you can use your local index to verify things yourself. As for private keys, lightweight wallet mode keeps signing on your device, so you can use it even while the index is still downloading. One easily overlooked point: nodes can share vector computing capacity with each other, and submitted text is sent to other nodes in plaintext, so don't include sensitive content. Currently, this software is available only for macOS and requires macOS 12 or later and at least 2 GB of disk space. Risk warning: The above is an explanation of the tool and its mechanisms, not investment advice.
