$ZEC fell 5.03% in six hours as trading volume rose 9.8%: this time, the surge in volume was driven by aggressive selling.

Just as rebound support seemed to be improving, the price turned lower again. With volume climbing, it’s natural to wonder: is someone still buying the dip? High volume doesn’t necessarily mean buyers are active.

As of 13:00 Hong Kong time, spot trading volume for the latest completed six-hour period was 57.12 million USDT, up from 52.04 million in the previous period. But the share of aggressive buys fell from 54.4% to 38.4%. More trades were executed by sellers aggressively hitting bids, so this can no longer be read as buyers gaining strength. Trading volume is also not the same as net inflows.

The earlier post on the 27th noted that “volume and buying strength are rising together,” and that played out in that period. Volume has expanded again this time, but the claim that buyers are gaining strength no longer holds. Rebound positions relying on that support are now facing more aggressive selling pressure; “volume is still rising” alone isn’t enough to justify staying in the trade.

Staying involved preserves the chance of a rebound if buying returns, while also exposing you to the risk of a pullback while sellers remain dominant. That trade-off is different from what it was in the previous post. The basis for saying buyers are strengthening would return only if buying once again accounts for more than half of volume over a complete six-hour period and the price strengthens at the same time. The current data can’t establish how much further the price may fall.
