Last night’s suspense just wrapped up, and tonight at 20:30 brings an even more direct showdown: U.S. third-quarter GDP and September PCE are both being released tonight. One tells us about growth, the other about inflation. If the two numbers clash, the market will have to pick a side.

I’m leaning hawkish. The reason is simple: oil prices surged so much in September that inflation is unlikely to cool off all at once. The consensus forecast for core PCE is already at 3.1%, and I don’t think it’ll easily come in below that. On the growth side, AI investment is providing support, and a 3.0% GDP forecast isn’t low either. Taken together, it’s hard to spin these two numbers into a dovish story.

The chart marks the two levels to watch for $BTC tonight:
Break below 79710 → The hawkish case is confirmed; short-term pressure continues
Hold 79710 → Just a scare; it can keep grinding
Move above 81823 → My call is off the table

So, for tonight’s prediction, I’m betting on hawkish data and short-term pressure on $BTC . I’ll also be clear about what would prove me wrong: core PCE comes in below expectations, or $BTC moves above 81823.
Which side are you betting on: hawkish or dovish?
