What exactly does contract leverage amplify?
On Binance USDⓈ-M contracts, leverage is set separately for each trading pair, and different pairs can have different leverage settings. Leverage doesn't change the direction of price movements; it only determines how many times those movements are amplified against your margin.
For the same notional value, the profit or loss amount is the same: if the price moves against you by 1%, a position worth 10,000 USDT loses about 100 USDT, regardless of the leverage used.
The coin mentioned above: $BTC is quoted at 79846, down 1.58% over 24 hours.
