October 29 $ETH Market Update

The Fed decision is in, but the rebound lacks strength. It’s not time to buy the dip yet.

As expected, the Fed held interest rates steady in a 10–2 vote. The result was in line with market expectations, but its overall stance was hawkish.

The U.S. economy remains resilient, inflation is still elevated, and two officials explicitly supported a 25-basis-point rate hike.

Expectations for a December rate hike have risen significantly. Pausing rate hikes does not mean monetary policy is shifting toward easing, which is also the main reason risk assets are under pressure.

Looking at ETH, it rebounded to a high of 2,391 last night, then fell back to 2,292 after meeting resistance near 2,400. This shows that selling pressure overhead has not been absorbed. The news-driven rebound has little staying power and should not yet be viewed as a trend reversal.

Also, the U.S. midterm elections on November 3 are approaching. If Trump’s Republican Party loses some control of Congress, it could affect the passage of future policies and expectations around crypto regulation.

With the broader market weak, keep altcoin positions under control. For short-term Ether levels, watch 2,250–2,200.
