99.54.
That’s SOL’s price right now, and the closest it’s come to the 98.51 floor in nearly thirty trading days.
At first glance, I thought I’d read it wrong. I checked twice before I believed it.
I counted through all thirty daily candles from the start. With a range of 98.51 to 123.77, it really is sitting around the 6.9th percentile.
Sitting there doesn’t mean it’s about to bounce.
BTC is down 1.285% today, SOL is down 1.979%. They’re moving in the same direction, but SOL is falling 0.7 percentage points faster than the broader market.
It’s a lot like that old analogy: when a reservoir opens its floodgates, the channel closest to the gate runs dry first.
Down 3.94% over the past seven days and 16.42% over the past thirty. It hasn’t plunged sharply; it’s just been grinding lower.
A slow bleed is the most draining kind. It gives you no drama, just time.
Twenty-four-hour trading volume is $1.507 billion. That’s not a small market; liquidity hasn’t disappeared. It’s just that nobody wants to fire the first shot.
Funding rate: +0.005635%, practically flat.
The longs aren’t even willing to pay the funding fee, which suggests nobody’s willing to use leverage to bet on a rebound this time around.
On the other hand, positions look a little cleaner now. Some of the crowded positions from earlier have been flushed out.
I don’t think this is altcoin rotation; the whole major-coin market is digesting things on its own.
Average daily volatility is 4.23%, much calmer than those wick-filled days I noted last month.
By my read, this isn’t a point where I need to ramp up my attention immediately, but it’s not time to let go either.
I’ll put it back on my watchlist, keep an eye on it, and wait for it to give a signal of its own.
What do you all think? If you’re holding SOL, would you keep waiting at this percentile, or wait until it actually breaks below 98.51 before deciding?
