Quick guide: trading pairs and quote currencies
A trading pair is written as “A/B.” A is the base asset, and B is the quote currency. The price tells you how much B you can get for 1 A.
A pair like ETH/BTC is priced in BTC. It reflects the strength of ETH relative to BTC, which is different from ETH’s price in dollars.
Before buying or selling, check which trading pair you’re using. Don’t mistake ETH/BTC for ETH/USDT when placing an order.
