Jan Domínguez, co-founder of Cointable, believes that deposits via Mobile Payment and bank transfers on Binance can reduce P2P risks, but warns users about their accounting and tax obligations.
April 2026. He also noted the importance of considering the relevant international accounting standards when preparing records and tax returns.
Among the taxes that may be affected, he mentioned income tax, the tax on large financial transactions (IGTF), and certain municipal taxes, depending on the nature of the transactions and each taxpayer’s circumstances.
The specialist warned that incomplete records, omitted income, or incorrect accounting classification can create tax contingencies. He therefore recommended that the administration, accounting, auditing, treasury, and regulatory compliance departments prepare to manage a greater number of transactions.
Cointable proposes automating crypto reconciliation
Against this backdrop, Cointable aims to make it easier to incorporate cryptocurrency transactions into traditional accounting.
According to Domínguez, the application can connect to Binance through an application programming interface (API) to import transaction history and help generate accounting reports.
Users “must maintain a dynamic, clear, and accurate reconciliation of their currency transactions from day one—whether in bolívares or crypto assets, USDT, or any of the other currencies they are acquiring through the platform,” the expert explained.
The goal is for users to document the origin and destination of their funds, identify each transaction, and have information to support their tax returns.
According to the co-founder, the tool also reduces the manual work associated with large transaction volumes.
“Crypto assets are not simple; they are not easy to substantiate,” Domínguez warned. He believes that clear accounting helps translate activity on digital platforms into records that third parties, including tax authorities, can understand and verify.
Cointable recommends starting to reconcile transactions as soon as they take place, rather than trying to reconstruct them months later.
For the specialist, the new way to access Binance could expand opportunities to use crypto assets in Venezuela, but taking advantage of it responsibly requires training, controls, and up-to-date accounting.
