According to Foresight News, CoinDesk reported that the cross-chain interoperability protocol LayerZero completed a $120 million Series B financing with a valuation of $3 billion. According to the financing information picture released by LayerZero, investors include a16z Crypto, Atrum Global, Bixin Ventures, BOND, BPEA EQT, Chapter One, Christie's Auction House, Com2uS, Franklin Templeton, GCR, GS Futures, IOBC Capital, K5 Global, King River Capital, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Maple, MVP Ventures, NGC Ventures, OpenSea Ventures, Protofund, Samsung Next and Sequoia Capital. LayerZero will use the funds to expand its growth plans, including hiring and expanding the company's business in the Asia-Pacific region.

Foresight News previously reported that in March 2022, LayerZero completed a US$135 million A+ round of financing. This round of financing was jointly led by FTX Ventures, Sequoia Capital and a16z, and participated by Coinbase Ventures, PayPal Ventures, Tiger Global and Uniswap Labs. The post-investment valuation was US$1 billion.
