$Arbitrum is being integrated into the settlement infrastructure for regulated stablecoins and tokenized assets. On the infrastructure side, Anchorage, a U.S. federally regulated digital asset bank, has expanded its partnership with Bitso to provide custody services for the Mexican peso stablecoin MXNB across six chains: Arbitrum, Base, Ethereum, Polygon, Avalanche, and Arc. Bitso has also listed USDPT and USAT, U.S. dollar stablecoins issued by Western Union and Tether, respectively. Its U.S.–Mexico remittance corridor already handles around 15% of transaction volume. On the ecosystem side, as RWA and stablecoin adoption become increasingly compliant, Layer 2 use cases are expanding beyond DeFi. Being chosen as the underlying network for multichain custody means compliant capital is beginning to consider Arbitrum as a settlement and custody option. The significance lies in its role as a custody and settlement foundation for compliant stablecoins—not simply a throughput story. Whether real usage can catch up with the narrative is what remains to be proven. As barriers to issuing and settling tokens continue to fall, are you more bullish on Arbitrum as a compliant gateway, or concerned that commoditized competition will dilute its value?
