Nasdaq and BTC: there’s something interesting in today’s correlation

There’s no new narrative in the U.S. stock market today, just price moves.

To see which sectors are leading and which are lagging, look at the gains and losses—not the stories.

Gold 4,082 (5-day +1.85%, Yahoo)
Crude oil 102 (5-day -1.22%, Yahoo)
VIX 16.91 (5-day -11.14%)

My read: The dollar index is still strengthening, up +0.32% over 5 days, yet BTC is up +0.71% over 24h. This isn’t looser liquidity; it’s an independent move, and I’m skeptical it will last.

Flows: BTC 81370 (+0.71%). ETH is tracking BTC closely, up +0.79% versus BTC’s +0.71%; the exchange rate is 0.02904. If there’s no independent move, don’t go all-in on altcoins.

In crypto, I’m watching just one thing: can BTC close above its 24h high of 81823? If it can’t, talk of it following the market higher is just hot air.

My position: I only buy pullbacks; I don’t chase breakouts. If the structure holds, I can keep a core position. Any add-on has to wait for a pullback level.

Data: Binance spot 24h / Binance USDⓈ-M / Yahoo daily (5-day change) / altme_fng / mempool_fees / defillama_chains / coingecko_trending. Missing figures are left blank.
Are you sitting in cash and waiting for a pullback, or are you already in?

Useful note: Around the NFP and CPI releases, crypto often lags U.S. stocks by half a beat. The volume on the first 1h candle matters even more.
A thought: BTC’s fast-tier fees are rising. On-chain activity is there, and spot may be steadier than futures.

For context: People elsewhere are discussing “bitcoin OR stock market OR US stocks” - Google News. I treat that as background only; my conclusions are still based on the figures in the main text.

Personal opinion; figures are from the sources listed in the main text. Not an instruction to place a trade.
