Hackers drained US$400,000 in USDT from Predict.fun, a prediction market platform integrated with Binance Wallet, in an attack reported on October 27, 2026. The incident happened days after the platform’s token reached a market capitalization of US$1.4 billion.
Predict.fun is a prediction market backed by YZi Labs and was added to Binance Wallet in March 2026. The integration put the platform in the spotlight among users of the world’s largest exchange by trading volume. The attack drained US$400,000 in USDT directly from the platform’s contracts or infrastructure.
The developers suspect that the attackers gained access through the platform’s API documentation. As an immediate measure, the API documentation site was taken offline to contain the attack vector while the team investigates the incident.
The timing of the attack is, to say the least, embarrassing. Just days earlier, Predict.fun’s token had reached a market capitalization of US$1.4 billion on Binance, a figure that sparked debate in the industry about whether its value reflected real fundamentals. The theft happened precisely when the platform was in the spotlight.
