US stocks: watch these signals first
Don’t use last week’s rate-cut story to explain today’s market.
Calculate technical levels using today’s highs and lows; don’t force old support levels onto the chart.
Gold 4,054 (5-day +1.14%, Yahoo)
S&P 7,731 (5-day -0.34%, Yahoo)
BTC 24h high 81823 / low 80397, current price 80898. The US Dollar Index is still strengthening, up +0.53% over 5 days, while BTC is up +0.42% over 24h. This isn’t easy-money liquidity—it’s an independent move, and I’m skeptical it will last.
ETH is flat at +0.00% over 24h, weaker than BTC at +0.42%; the exchange rate is 0.02901. Funds are concentrating in BTC, so I’d wait and see before going long on altcoins.
There’s only one thing to watch in crypto: can BTC close above its 24h high of 81823? If it can’t, talk of it following the rally is just hot air.
My position: I only trade pullbacks, never chase breakouts. If the structure holds, I can keep a core position; I’ll only add after a pullback to my target level.
Data: Binance spot 24h / Binance USDⓈ-M / Yahoo daily (5-day change) / altme_fng / mempool_fees / defillama_chains / coingecko_trending. Missing figures are not filled in.
Are you in cash waiting for a pullback, or already on board?

Useful tip: On FOMC night, market depth tends to pull back first, and breakout orders can easily turn into slippage orders.
Food for thought: Open interest down, price flat: reducing positions isn’t accumulation; the market hasn’t paid for a direction yet.
